Haven't been here for a while. Brunch is still FANTASTIC! Met some good friends here. We all ended up ordering Turkey, Butternut Squash, Brussels Sprouts Hash. Yes, it is really that good! The hash was amazing! I get mine with a short stack. Nice big slab of butter and maple syrup o. Those hot and fluffy pancakes, it's heavenly! Service was also great! Prompt and attentive but not annoyingly so. All we're wearing masks and diners were spaced out. Cannot wait to go back.

Simple cafe is my GO TO brunch spot! My boyfriend and I visit at least every other week and always have a 5 star experience Everyone there is super accommodating, there's a lot of awesome menu items (my favs are the frittata and breakfast tacos) and they now serve alcohol!! Can't go wrong with a classic mimosa! On top of the awesome experience, they have many gluten free options and feel very safe during Covid. Couldn't ask for a better brunch spot in MKE!

Breakfast with dad and son.... got to go somewhere different than the normal local establishments. Delicious and can't wait to return. I had the Korean bbq breakfast bowl. Oh so tasty. Pork was tender and delish... the bowl was so good.. just trust me. Dad had breakfast tacos- chorizo wasn't over greasy- pepper jack gave nice kick. Son had chorizo sweet potato sope benedict. Nice selection- with the squash, potato, and eggs/hollandaise sauce. Clean place, parking available, friendly staff, good coffee. Gotta try it!

I've never, ever had a less than 5-star experience at Simple. Saturday morning breakfast was yet another success. My husband and I finished up the Brewers Mini-Marathon and we're of course, quite hungry afterwards. A fresh, clean breakfast seemed very ideal so we decided on one of our fav spots. Simple is located on the lower Eastside in the mists of many other surrounding restaurants and shops. Though there seems to be limited parking in the area, we've actually never had an issue. Our favorite server, Kayla, took care of us again. We always enjoy chatting and catching up with her! With it being a chilly morning, we had coffee + tea. My ginger citrus tea was delicious! As for food, my husband went with the turkey hash and I had the seasonal harvest frittata. It was loaded with Swiss chard and kale, caramelized onions, summer squash, tomato and zucchini. And to top it all off, creamy goat cheese, salsa and avocado. I mean come on, that's my dream plate right there. It was a large portion of food however so I both couldn't finish it and was stuffed. Also, I get legit menu anxiety trying to decide what to get because there's loads of tasty options. The service was so quick as per usual -- our food came out in less than 10 minutes. Simple is genuinely farm to table fresh food and they clearly pride themselves on that! I will soon be back, especially when they switch to their Fall menu so I can have the long awaited pumpkin pancakes that I'm slightly obsessed with...!

I've gone here several times now and will come back over and over again. Their menu selection has a wide range that's just the right amount of entrees, not too little and not too many to elicit decision paralysis. Their breakfast tacos mostly hot the spot except one visit when I saw our neighboring guests had a banana walnut French toast and I couldn't resist from trying. The bread is filling and full of flavor. It is on the sweet side and savory. I also ordered an egg side veggies only which had a lot of flavor and not bland at all. It usually gets busy here on a weekend but I don't have trouble having to wait too long. Maybe ten minutes max wait. Parking is usually available on the street or in their parking lot. Their place is clean including the bathroom :) Try it out and and a have a simple breakfast in Simple Cafe with a grand experience.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Milwaukee! Upon entering Simple Café, we were immediately greeted by smiling faces and a bright, vibrant interior. It was a Sunday morning around 9:30am, and we were lucky enough that there was no wait. We were immediately seated and our drink order taken. For bloody mary fans, this spot doesn't have breakfast cocktails (or any booze, I don't believe) but they do serve Colectivo coffee (because if you can't booze, you might as well caffeinate). I ordered the turkey hash, while my dining companion opted for the avocado toast with seasonal toppings. My turkey hash consisted of roasted turkey, diced butternut squash, caramelized onions, potatoes, gruyere, all topped with two eggs. It was absolutely bursting with flavor. My dining companion's avocado toast (which I tried) came topped with eggs, chicken chorizo, and a peppery hollandaise. It was also flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The service was spot on throughout and the prices are reasonable. Get to it!

Super fast service! Before we got there, I was expecting to wait a while but we were seated immediately. After we ordered, our food came almost within 5-10 min. I couldn't believe how fast it was! I got a Korean BBQ breakfast bowl which was delicious. It was kinda like a western take on a bibimbap. Definitely a little bit spicy and a big portion for breakfast/brunch but definitely worth trying. My fiancé got the eggs sardou, which very similar to eggs benedict but was served on a croissant instead of an English muffin. They was a layer of artichoke and spinach and topped with a Cajun hollandaise sauce. Overall, good experience here and I love that their menu has both conventional brunch choices as well as some more different options!

This place was close to getting 5 stars. I have passed this place many times but the unassuming sign has always lent me to walk past. But inside, it is bright and sunny and was very busy on Friday at lunch. The knock on service was that no one came to the table for waters and to initiate ordering for some time, close to 10 minutes. Granted they were busy, but simple water would have been nice. Of course we ordered a classic breakfast dish: eggs Benedict. The eggs were poached beautifully and the potatoes on the side were seasoned well. We also got the turkey hash, which showcases a kale and feta mix with potatoes and cranberry jelly on the side. A nice intro to fall! I wish the succulents on the wall were real, but the pot and pans repurposed for lighting fixtures are very creative. I will definitely be going back! And hopefully wait only a minute for service.

How did I not know about Simple Cafe? Being a city sweller you would think this would be on the welcome to the city handbook! Located right on Farwell Avenue I literally have been driving by this place for 6 months. Looking for a place in the city to have breakfast I hit my YELP app and as usual my fellow yelpers did not let me down. I also love that they have plenty of parking which can be a huge negative when driving to any restaurant in the city. Friendly hostess seated us quickly and coffee IV drip started almost immediately. Hubby and I liked the atmosphere, which is kind of boutique cafe. I ordered the Seasonal Harvest Frittata (Sweet potato, Swiss chard & kale, caramelized onion, roasted red pepper, roasted tomato and zucchini topped with goat cheese, salsa and avocado) and it was one of the best I have had in a LONG time! Sometimes places fail to cook the veggies long enough so they are hard or too long and they are mushy- Simple Cafe has the consistency perfect! The hubby had the he Apple Crumble French Toast which looked delicious but because I am watching carbs I stayed away or I would have attacked! Seriously though he loved it! Great friendly service and food came out hot and quick.
